These are so cool, found them on the Hostess with the Mostess website, but they're actually available from Amazon.
Almost too good to eat off, i really love these Geishas, looking very unimpressed with their chicken, hamburger, pizza and hotdog. A shame to put food on these!!

A popular blog topic of late, I need to jump on board. There's a beautiful collection of Japanese Toy Designs at Ningyo-do Bunko which deserves a bit of a look. Yes the site is all in Japanese, but the illustrations are stunning!
This one, for me, is reminiscent of Super Mario Bros 2 (I really have to do some sort of Nintendo post soon) what with throwing vegetables!
My vast Japanfluenced Mind, leads me to believe that this is a Noh Mask... along with an early incarnation of the Hammer Bros?

There are a lot of things I love about Mingtees work, the beautiful colours, the tranquil design elements, the fact that it would make the most stunning embroideries - and most of all the inspiration from the Kamon - a Japanese Family Crest.

Hand coloured woodblock print. 65 x 58 cm
Found this card yesterday and snapped it up - how could I not?
It's amazing to see a Japanese artwork, depicting the Dutch Flag so heavily.
The Dutch East India Company was established in 1602, to carry out colonial activities in Asia. (wiki)

an amazing body of work, (ha, sorry) this stunning Koi is by Gotch, at Harizanmai tattoo studio in Kyoto! Its enough to make you want to get on a plane and make an appointment. If you are into the ink, you need to check out his flickr set, its beautiful! This covers all the elements, the Hokusai waves, blossoms, some kanji - superb!
